Marketing Networks
I am happy to place reciprocal links on this site. I will first need to evaluate your site, as it must be a legitimate offering, as spam is discarded with scorn.
Networking is the easiest and most cost effective strategy, you can implement in a short timeframe. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and the groups they encourage are social networking tools you should use. These are free. Facebook is for the youth, LinkedIn is for the adults and Twitter - Rich and Famous wish list seems about right.
Not all networkers are created equal. You must put daily slots of precious time, to make a commitment to social networking. When you join, work at it, and see who responds. There is a strong pull initially and it will be these people who introduce them selves that you will end up mostly dealing with.
Expect 15 percent of the group will be great to deal with, the rest you may not get qualified leads from. Is your group giving better odds? Let us know!
A qualified lead: They have your card and are expecting your call, the lead has been interested in doing this particular business, is aware of the costs and time frames and has seen your work. Expect the sale.
A lead: Maybe looking into something like your offering, not qualified in any way to take the cheque book out right now but interested. Expect 20% of these will become sales within 6 months, spend your time wisely.
A cold lead: When you call these people are surprised and not so interested, see what you can do but you should be approaching 20 cold leads a day, so what's one more. Expect 3 sales out of 20 cold leads. Limit your time with this person/company for ten minutes at the maximum.
Make sure the networking group you wish to join are working for a similar client base - if your selling handbags and they are selling pedicures you have a match, but if they are gardeners and your selling agricultural milking systems - move on.
