Dig deep and hunt down the reasons you want to work.
Money. Wow, that's it - often we find we work for free as we love our jobs and don't put in for overtime.
What are you going to get out of this.
In short the common strategy is: each role achieved for more than 2 years should give you a raise or you can try and switch companies by $10k per annum. Today's job market is full of issues however. Do not jump unless you are miserable. Look at what you can implement to stay where you are - if it's secure.
Now what will you get if you stay?
What do you need to leave?
NZ common law and restraint of trade contracts often do not see eye to eye - check with a lawyer, normally you are only looking at 3 months - but will you find the right job or will it be the same or worse?
Have your say.
